With over 35 years experience in creating magnificent wedding dresses, it’s no surprise that most brides consider Carolina Herrera the ultimate bridal designer. Her unique yet elegant designs are memorable for their pure white fabrics, smooth lines, and perfectly tailored silhouettes. Carolina Herrera debuted her first ever bridal collection in 1987, a year after designing a wedding dress for the first daughter Caroline Kennedy, her classic and timeless designs are a trademark of feminine sophistication that seem to never go out of style.
I think the old-fashioned in bridal is very important – Carolina Herrera
Herrera’s 2018 collection showcased colourful designs as well as beautiful floral details, and an A-line wrap silhouette with pockets (We just love bridal pockets!). However Herrera did not stray far from her signature sleek style, she simply added a few whimsical looks, like a the lilac A-line with frilly shoulder details that would flatter any body type, whether you’re a bride or bridesmaid.
One dress in particular has a pattern emerald embroidery that seems to be inspired by the 18th-centruy men’s waistcoat, moreover the blush colour gown is suitable for a boho-country inspired wedding, and the strapless guipure lace gown with the removable high-necked capelet was simply divine.
To add to this stunning array of gowns Carolina Herrera also released a Mother of the Bride collection that features some timeless classics with A-line silhouettes.
