Georges Hobeika Bridal Collection 17-18

This week marked the launch of Georges Hobeika Bridal Collection for 2017 – 2018 at The Wedding Club London. Prior to the trunk show I was invited to the press release were I could view these gorgeous designs up close and personal.

About the Designer:

Georges Hobeika is a Lebanese designer that captivated the fashion world with his creative style and his consistent crafting of statement pieces admired as works of fashion art. Hobeika’s designs are known for their signature expression of femininity, romance and elegance. With a successful background and passion for fashion Georges Hobeika established an atelier in Beirut and debuted his designs in the 2001 Paris couture runway. Today, Georges Hobeika enjoys an ever-growing haute couture clientele and has successfully established three ready-to-wear lines – Georges Hobeika Bridal, Georges Hobeika Signature and GH by Georges Hobeika.

Highlights of the Event:

georges hobeikaOn a beautiful Wednesday morning I arrived to one of my favourite bridal boutiques in London – The Wedding club, I was greeted with a warm cup of coffee and a delicious selection of quasonts. The director Clare Thompson and I discussed in more detail Geroges Hobeika’s collection, and exclusive launch at The Wedding Club. We both agreed that it was difficult to choose ‘A Favourite’ as all the designs were stunning and unique.

Georges Hobeika latest bridal collection captures the supernatural essence of the bridal fashion statement which combines both the nuances of tradition and the faith in the future.

Combining both elegance and femininity with delicate handcrafted appliqué that is guaranteed to add a wow-factor to your gown.

The diverse selection of silhouettes, included a bridal jumpsuit to bring out your inner fashionista. 2017 bridal couture is all about embracing new styles, and I think that jumpsuits are the perfect bench mark to kick-start a new bridal trend. If you’re not a 100% convinced of rocking this look down the aisle consider wearing it to your pre or post wedding celebrations. Clare from The Wedding Club also told me that jumpsuits have become increasingly popular amongst mothers of the bride – I was slightly astonished by that, as I never thought a bride would let her mother wear white to her wedding – However this is the latest trend in Lebanon, and we can’t deny that we have all admired their lavish weddings.
