Destination weddings are our favourite, simply because they are full of inspirational ideas for every bride. Today’s blog post will feature the beautiful union of Keith and Catherine in Phuket Thailand, captured by the very talented photographer and a good friend of mine David Christopher.
Keith and Catherine were summer lovers, they first met in 2006 while Catherine was backpacking on an around the world trip, that started in her hometown England and led her to her soulmate in Sydney. As this romantic summer love story continues Keith was working with the backpackers when he first laid eyes on his future wife.
From the very first moment I saw her, she took my breath away. I thought she was the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen.” Keith
The summer romance blossomed as the days went by, and Keith spent more time with Catherine. Summer came to an end and Keith decided to move to the UK for a year in hope that both him and Catherine will grow closer together. With their mutual interest to explore the world Keith and Catherine spent the following two years travelling and making memories. A blossoming romance that fought all odds of distance magically continued into 2013, when both Keith and Catherine moved to the UK permanently.
On Catherine’s birthday in 2013 Keith proposed in the iconic Trafalgar Square, along side friends and family and a pre-arranged busker that played some of their favourite songs.
Once she said yes, I whisked her off to Paris for the night. After 4 years in London, we now live in Dubai.” Keith
As they were both Summer lovers it seemed fit that they should have a Summer wedding, and what better place than Phuket Thailand, with the help of a wedding planner from Luxury Events Phuket, a glamorous Galia Lahav wedding dress, and the fantastic photographer David Christopher both Keith and Catherine had the wedding of their dreams.
The most important thing to us at the wedding was having the most cherished people in our lives from opposite sides of the world meet, to join us in our celebration of our commitment to each other. No single thing stood out above the other, as everything meant something special to us in its own way. It was all amazing and something we will truly cherish. The lanterns, fireworks and party certainly helped to make it epic.” Keith
We love the colourful wedding palette, sentimental decor, and firework display. It’s clear to see that both the guests and Mr & Mrs had a fantastic time.
Everything was planned out perfectly, the groomsmen strutted down the aisle as if it was a runway followed by the beautiful flower girls, and bridesmaids. Keith had the biggest smile on his face when he laid eyes on his lovely bride.
What a wonderful way to end an evening, congratulations to the wonderful couple thank you for sharing your special day with us, and a special thank you to David Christopher the photographer.
